Pleased to Meet You
The
formal yoga study activities that I have undertaken so far are:
I see
the study & practice of yoga as a lifetime undertaking. There
is so much to
learn.
Memberships of Professional Bodies I am a
member of the British Wheel of Yoga and Association for Yoga
Studies.
My 'Day Job' Like my
students, I know all about the demands and pressures of modern
life. I'm working full-time in the IT industry and have been doing so
since 1995. I am experienced in leading (international) teams.
I know from my own experience how yoga can help achieving balance and inner calm when everything around seems to move at breakneck speed. I'm a regular participant in the meditation sessions that are conducted in my company and I contribute ideas on how these sessions are run. Lifestyle Elena
and I enjoy cooking vegetarian meals, using the knowledge of an
ancient Indian health system called Ayurveda. Following a wholesome
diet—which takes my constitution & lifestyle into
consideration—has contributed hugely to my energy levels,
sense
of well-being, mental clarity, and quality of yoga practice.
Elena & I do our best to live according to yogic principles and minimise our impact on the environment. This means, for instance, a lot of cycling (I don't own a car), avoiding meat, and minimal electrical equipment. I'm pleased to say that my website is hosted by a company which is 100% solar powered. |
